First pics of CDMA BlackBerry Curve 8330 surface
Posted Feb 11th 2008 1:06PM by Darren MurphFiled under: Cellphones We heard you poor souls loud and clear — hoping, begging, praying for a CDMA Curve announcement during CES. Apparently, said device is on the way. According to non-blurry (gasp!) pictures over at BBGeeks, the CDMA Curve is rockin’ a 8330 model number, integrated GPS, built-in camera and a temporary sticker on the back warning that what you’re looking at is absolutely not for sale under any circumstances. Excited? You should be, now hit up the read link and take a peek. (Read the full post about ‘First pics of CDMA BlackBerry Curve 8330 surface’…)

Popgadget polls
In our last poll, we asked you how long you can do without your cell phone. Here are the results: I was a little surprised that so many people said they could leave behind their cell phones for an entire week. Among the “other” answers were: one month, one minute, never, and forever. I would put myself in the 15-minutes category, but only when my daughter is at home. Otherwise, maybe 5 minutes. Our new poll asks about your ideal Valentine’s Day gift. Take it here. (Read the full post about ‘Popgadget polls’…)

With IPhone/iPod potential, Starbucks dumps TMobile for AT&T

In a previous post, we mentioned that the potential to be able to order a Starbucks using your iPhone was huge. Well, it seems that the Seattle Coffee Giant is ready to make that move as all Starbucks are replacing T-Mobile with AT&T. Going all out with AT&T make sense considering Starbucks’ existing relationship with Apple which allows users to order music via the iTunes Music Store and the fact that iPhone users are already carried by AT&T means that transition will be smooth and easy. In addition, pricewise, the move is a great one for Starbucks fans as the new AT&T plan will allow for up to 2 free hours of wiFi per day, with additional 2-hours available at four bucks. B.pet bubble bed for pampered pets

Pet lovers naturally want to give their pets the best, and the B.pet bubble bed is definitely an over-the-top addition. Available in Bubble Silver and Bubble Gold, both pet beds are glazed from the outside and polished from the inside, studded with Swarovski crystals for further decoration. There will only be 99 Bubble Gold pet beds available in the world, and laced with 24 karat gold all over along with 100% silk fabric, you can be sure that this will cost a bomb. I’m not too sure whether your pet is going to appreciate the amount of dough you coughed out for this in the first place though. (Read the full post about ‘B.pet bubble bed for pampered pets’…)

Bluetooth Piggybacks On WiFi
Bluetooth technology could be speeded up next year by taking advantage of WiFi connectivity that already come with many gadgets these days. According to Michael Foley, director of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, “the first devices with the technology could be on the market in the middle of next year. The industry group behind Bluetooth, which has more than 10,000 member companies, plans to announce Monday that it is pursuing the technology and will make it available next year.” We will probably see single chips that merge both Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity in the future instead of running both functions in separate chips today. I don’t know about you, but I’m all for faster connectivity. (Read the full post about ‘Bluetooth Piggybacks On WiFi’…)

Sharp Sends SX862 Outside Of Japan

Sharp Sends SX862 Outside Of Japan
Normally, cell phones in Japan remain there without any plans to letting the rest of the world sample it, but thankfully Sharp has decided to introduced its high end SX862 handset in Hong Kong and the TX92 for Taiwan. While it shares a very strong resemblance as the 920SH, it will probably cost a bomb being an exported product and all. The DMB won’t work in Europe, Japan and Taiwan due to different standards, but it will work in mainland China. Chances are it will also be available in a choice as a standalone handset or tying you down to a 2-year contract. The price to pay for vanity… (Read the full post about ‘Sharp Sends SX862 Outside Of Japan’…)

Longhorn Steer Grill Cute Enough to Make You Stop Eating Meat

Longhorn Steer Grill Cute Enough to Make You Stop Eating Meat

The Longhorn Steer Grill does not let you forget what the tender steak that is about to sizzle on the hot plate once looked like. I don’t really like my food related stuff to be cute, but I won’t let anything or anyone put me off a nice cut of prime rib. Buying a Longhorn Steer Grill really says to all and sundry, “Yeah cows can be cute, but I love my meat and no one is going to stop me enjoying it.” You need to reach down deep inside wherever those little pangs of guilt are, if you get them, and squash them or someone just might come along, punch your arm and tell you to cowboy up (if you got that little obscure TV show reference, you really need to get out more).
