Did I mention that it’s a free service? Whether you’re creating a lease or contract for a new tenant, or starting a new job and in need of a strategy deck, you’ll find an abundance of high-quality examples in multiple formats (: .doc, .pdf, .xls, .ppt, .ppt, .txt). A somewhat social community, you’ll find a highly engaged user-base viewing, downloading, rating, and commenting on all documents. comScore study says US Internet mobile use rising
Results of the study conducted by comScore shows that the number of U.S. Internet users accessing the web via mobile broadband increased by 154% in Q4 of 2007 as against the same period in 2006. Mobile internet is predominantly used in the work setting rather for domestic use. The comScore report looked into the usage and characteristics of mobile broadband users from data collected by the research from Internet access using mobile broadband internet service providers (ISPs). This type of internet access is done using mobile phones subscribed through cellular networks and connected to a user’s PC. The study did not cover Internet access through Wi-Fi access which entirely a different thing from mobile broadband Internet access. Columbus Has New Navigation Solution
Columbus Geographic Systems has just rolled out a new personal navigation solution that targets both the active outdoor and off-road enthusiast. Users will be able to use this new feature to select points of interest on their personal navigation device, and then being guided to that location thanks to its cutting-edge navigation software providing location-based, global positioning system (GPS) mapping, navigation, and information solutions for the off-road environment. The Ranger is compatible with a host of devices including Car PC, PDA, and PND. Guess this makes the lack of a map folding ability no longer a liability for off-road hikers as they no longer have to rely on physical maps to find their way around. Leatherman Locking Pliers Pack a Crunch
Leatherman’s new Crunch manages to jam yet another tool into your pocket: A vice-grip. The jaws swing out of the body and one side hooks into the handle. The locking, adjustable grip will swallow a one-inch pipe. The jaw adjustment screw (bottom left in the picture) is removable and has a Hex or Allen-key adapter on the other end. And of course, being a Leatherman, the stainless steel kit contains all the other widgets you’d expect: bottle opener, wire cutter and stripper, screwdriver and a girl-repelling lanyard strap. $55. Foxconn’s Extreme Overclocking setup is actually rather extreme
Posted Mar 5th 2008 6:05AM by Paul MillerFiled under: Desktops We’ve seen some overclockers go to pretty great lengths to keep those chips cool while they crank up the GHz, but Foxconn’s demonstration at the company’s CeBIT booth is really a sight to behold. They appear to be using copious amounts of liquid nitrogen, along with other black magicks, to boost a Core 2 Extreme processor almost past the 6GHz mark. LucidTouch: the “reverse iPhone” concept

LucidTouch: the “reverse iPhone” concept
[Microsoft TechFest 2008] Patrick Baudisch gave me a demo of the LucidTouch prototype that he is developing with his colleagues from Microsoft Research. Instead of the regular touch screen experience of the iphone, the LucidTouch enables people to browse a map by touching the back of the device and seeing theirs fingers as a translucent overlay on top of the graphics that they are navigating. It prevents the fingers from occluding the graphic elements users are browsing, it would be useful for small screens. The prototype (photo) is bulky and not very practical, the Web cam located on the back make it even worse, but we can imagine better designs for future mobile devices using this concept. Nike, Apple Head For Gyms
Nike and Apple have upped the ante by introducing the Nike + iPod experience in gyms worldwide this coming summer - both companies are currently co-operating with major gym equipment manufacturers like Life Fitness, Precor, Star Trac, and Technogym in order to introduce Nike + ipod compatibility with their cardio exercise equipment. This means users can hook up their iPods directly to the equipment at the start of the workout in order to record their progress. Users can log and track their data on nikeplus.com in a similar manner as if using the Sport Kit, save that this time it uses the equipment’s built-in measurement systems instead of the wireless components found in the Kit. Bungie to bring justice to Xbox 360 repair mishap
Posted Mar 4th 2008 9:29PM by Darren MurphFiled under: Gaming After Nathaniel’s nostalgic Xbox 360 was quite literally wiped clean when sent in for repair, we had a sneaking suspicion the powers that be would make sure things were rectified. Thankfully, the bigwigs at Bungie are already conjuring up a solution that it hopes will “come very close” to acting as a replacement.
