Ear Pressure Equalizer Handles Age-old Air Travel Problem
For those of you that fly all the time, I am sure that you are very familiar with that sometimes very painful feeling of when your ears pop. From a scientific point-of-view, this is a result of increased cabin pressure pressing the eardrum inwards, thus the ears can get stopped up. Most passengers try and stop this problem by yawning or chewing gum, but there is a technological alternative. The Ear Pressure Equalizer is a device about the size of a cellular phone that has the ability to suck air from the outer ear canal, creating a slight vacuum that gently pushes the eardrum back to its original position. You may be wondering if this device could be harmful. (Read the full post about ‘Ear Pressure Equalizer Handles Age-old Air Travel Problem’…)

Foiljet MR1 For Smooth Sailing

Foiljet MR1 For Smooth Sailing
Not exactly sailing in that sense of the word, but the Foiljet MR1 offers a skiing experience above the water thanks to an electrically charged motor, resulting in minimal wake in the water with very little noise during operation. While that sounds fine and dandy, it could prove dangerous to snorkelers and other swimmers as they won’t be able to hear the Foiljet MR1 approaching their way. According to designers Matt De Bellefeuille and Robert Vandenham, the Foiljet MR1 is “an environmentally friendly recreational vehicle powered by a high torque 48 volt electric motor with benefits that include increased safety, efficiency and low noise. Dell looks set to be offering a couple of Pharos-branded smartphones in the future - the Traveller 117 and 127. They appeared but for a moment on Dell’s website and was duly yanked after the gaffe, but not long enough for news to spread like wildfire. Some of the shared specifications include :- 7.2Mbps HSDPA support Assisted GPS capability Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system 2 megapixel camera VGA camera for video calls 4 hours talk time 200 hours standby time The Traveller 127 comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, while the 117 settles for a touch screen display instead. New Xbox Experience videos let you vicariously play dress up
by Samuel Axon, posted Oct 27th 2008 at 10:29PM You already know the Xbox 360 is getting new community features, a revamped dashboard, Avatars, and of course Netflix video — all things we’ve been excited about since we saw them in action at E3 this year. There hasn’t been much to go on since then, but we recently came across some short videos exhibiting Parties (which let users socialize and make plans while engaging in separate games and activities) and Avatar customization options; hopefully they’ll hold you over until the features go live November 19th. We won’t be held responsible for the brain deterioration caused by the vacuous marketing-speak accompanying the moving images, however. Sony Ericsson C902 Review - Register Hardware

Written by admin on Tuesday, October 28th, 2008 in gadgets.

Register Hardware reviews the Sony Ericsson C902 and writes, “Maybe we’re overreacting. Maybe the C902 isn’t the new slimline K850i after all. Maybe its the new K770i – though we thought that was the C702 - and a C903 or C904 device will come along and slot in between the C902 and C905 before the K850i gets the chop. Or maybe the K850i will live onto to a ripe old age. After all, you can still buy the two-year-old K800i. At the end of the day the C902 is just a competent upper mid-range snapper and we expected rather more.”

Guitar Hero World Tour now rocking store shelves everywhere
by Darren Murph, posted Oct 27th 2008 at 11:26AM This day has been a long time coming, but Activision’s next iteration of the Guitar Hero cash cow franchise is officially available. Truth be told, the game (and requisite instruments) was sitting on a-many of store shelves yesterday, but there’s nothing like a formal announcement to really push you to take a few hours from work and rock out this evening. More Windows 7 details emerge ahead of PDC
by Donald Melanson, posted Oct 27th 2008 at 11:51AM We should be getting a much bigger dose of Windows 7 details on Tuesday when Microsoft’s Professional Developers Conference gets underway, but it seems that some tidbits just can’t be kept under wraps, and ZDNet’s Mary-Jo Foley now has word of a few more features that are apparently in the forthcoming Windows 7 pre-beta. Chief among those is a so-called Device Stage, which promises to let users more easily interact with a whole range of different devices — assuming those devices are “Device Stage-enabled’ devices, that is (yes, really). Other features supposedly in store include an Action Center that promises to help you troubleshoot problems, a new anim (Read the full post about ‘More Windows 7 details emerge ahead of PDC’…)

HP Offers A Peek Into the Mini 1000

HP Offers A Peek Into the Mini 1000
HP’s offered a sneak peek, albeit inadvertently, into its upcoming Mini 1000 netbook when it posted a image of the computer on its online shopping site. Later removed it showed a Black HP Mini 1000 that weighs about 2.25 pounds and will be less than one-inch thick. Reports suggest the netbook will be priced upwards of $400 but specifications are still rather sketchy. It is not clear what kind of processor the netbook will have though there is some speculation it is likely to feature Intel’s Atom processor or Via Nano CPU. The Mini 100 could have a 10-inch display, bigger than the current HP Mini-note netbooks with their 8.9 inch screens. Meanwhile, Dell earlier today released the Mini Inspiron 12, a macbook air-sized netbook. (Read the full post about ‘HP Offers A Peek Into the Mini 1000′…)
