AT&T team up with LG to Incite the masses
AT&T, the nation’s largest network operator, has come together with Korean cell phone manufacturer to launch the LG Incite. Touted to be the first true LG smartphone in the US, the Incite does come with a whole host of features that will definitely leave you drooling, although it might not do enough to sway the minds of those who have already set themselves on getting the iphone 3G. More on the LG Incite right after the jump, specifications and all. The LG Incite does not fall short when it comes to features, in fact, it is chock full of them. Not only do you get domestic 3G capability, you are able to receive that boon when overseas as well, but you would do well to be prudent then unless you want to get slapped with an insanely large bill when you return home from your business trip halfway across the world. Samsung Instinct Review - Miami Herald
Miami Herald reviews the Samsung Instinct and writes, “The camera doesn’t have auto focus, so I ended up with photos that were fuzzy…This is a well-designed phone, and the fast-responding touch screen. Considering what this phone can do and the large display, it’s a good deal at $130 and worth getting if you’ve comfortable using a touch screen.” Read more about the Samsung Instinct. Roofus Helps You Shovel Snow
Having kids is a good thing - once they’re old enough, you can always boss them around the house with this thing called “chores”, and shoveling snow from the driveway is one of those tasks involved. The Roofus concept could be a replacement for kids with heavy bones though, as it is able to collect and dump snow automatically or via a remote, where the latter is certainly much more fun as you get to perform your house chore from the comfort and warmth of your home with a mug of hot chocolate on the table, waiting to reward you once the chore is done. Good thing the designers have decided to make the Roofus versatile, as it can be hooked up to a bunch of attachments for use around the garden even after winter is over. LG’s hot new touchscreen at AT&T
Check out this one: LG’s Incite.  The 3G world phone has some impressive features as well as an interesting price tag: $199.  The lineup of $199 touchscreen phones in the AT&T stable is getting crowded.  So how is this one different? The Incite features Windows Mobile 6.1, so it plays well with the MS Office docs, Outlook and the like.  It’s camera is a 3mp jobber and the 3” display has 240×480 QVGA going for it.  A bonus stylus tells you fingers may or may not be the best input device.  As a note, the Samsung Epix also offered a stylus and I found most tasks (save for clicking the close box in the upper left) were easily done with fat fingers. Apple Fixes Wonky Glass Trackpads

Apple Fixes Wonky Glass Trackpads
Apple has issued MacBook Pro Trackpad Firmware Update 1.0, a fix for the trackpad troubles experienced by many users of the new glass-trackpad equipped unibody notebooks. Many owners have reported that the muti touch trackpads were failing to register clicks on the giant, full-pad button, with some seeing a failed click around one time in 10 (Kevin Rose and Leo Laporte both mentioned this on the This Week in Tech podcast). It’s an odd firmware update which acts more like a plain calibration fix — normally a firmware update requires a restart. Our suspicion is that Apple was a little conservative with the click-detection settings in the original release to stave off complaints about accidental clicking, and has simply tweaked them with this release. Gadgetell Interview: TripIt’s Gregg Brockway

Gadgetell Interview: TripIt’s Gregg Brockway
As a frequent traveler, I am awash in trip confirmations, hotels, and rental car info.  I often forget who I’ve told I am going away and who I’ve not.  TripIt aims to change all that.  By simply forwarding them your confirmation emails, they scan the doc and import in the pertinent information into their system and put it out there for you and anyone you give access to.  Talk about handy. I’ve been using TripIt for a bit now and must say it works as promised.  It takes email forwarded from sites like Travelocity and Expedia as well as from the airlines directly and travel agents.  Entering in new trips was effortless and the data entered was spot on.  Even when JetBlue changed a flight time on me, I forwarded the email wondering if it would throw their system for a loop; nope, it changed my data just as I hoped.
